The four elements will collide
and the forest will be destroyed.
Heads immediately turn to the cats who are named after the elements , Fireflight for Fire, Lightningstar for Air - Forestshadow for Earth - and Rainpaw for Water.
In the meantime, some strange things are happening around here. A kit nearly drowns in one of the clans, in another one is badly injured by an owl, and in a third a kit goes down into the earth and is trapped by a cave-in, only barely escaping with their life. That's three elements right there... but where is fire?
A strange rogue has been roaming around the clans, and who could it be but Vipertail, the last survivor of Fireclan, who wants nothing more than to continue Tigerstar's ruthless missions and become the dominant cat in all the clans. He, seeing through the lens of a rogue, figures out the kits who are really the elements, and through trickery and shadows he steals the kits from their clans and raises them to be fighting machines, the force with which he will conquer the clans...
But, on the day the kits are stolen, another prophecy arises...
Only the fifth element can save us all.
What is the fifth element?
Who will save all of the clans from the evil Vipertail and his fighting force?
Will the clan cats realize who the elements really are?
